KLIP is located at a strategic location adjacent to one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, within a bay with natural deep waters and an excellent anchor holding ground.
Our offshore operations is provided by our well-trained and competent personnel comprising POAC (Person in Overall Advisory Control), Superintendents, Mooring Masters supported by our own assets with the likes of bollard-pull tugs, water barges, jumbo-sized pneumatic fenders, as well as equipment to respond to oil spill with full fire fighting capabilities.

A designated transfer area for Ship-to-Ship transfer operation situated off Malacca coast in the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia accessible via the Straits of Malacca.

Our team at TMSB, the port operator, has an impressive combined industry experience with in-depth knowledge, hands-on expertise and international exposure consisting of ULCCs, VLCCs, SUEZMAX, AFRAMAX oil tankers, LNGCs, LPGCs gas carriers as well as a host of product tankers. They have demonstrated their commitment in providing efficient, reliable and safe operation of Energy Source, Port and Maritime Services.
Our port administration ensures the compliance to safety requirement of our national authorities as well as to international safefty standard obligated under the international conventions adopted by IMO and accepted by Malaysia. To ensure the security environment KLIP implement the Port & Ship’s Facility Security Code under the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention.
We practice pragmatic Risk Management through the elimination, prevention, and systematic control of health, safety and environmental hazards that are critical to attaining our aim of ZERO incidents, accidents or damage within KLIP.
